Dear Prospective Students,
Providing our students with excellent medical training and raising future doctors who contribute to medical science by teaching them research methodology and encouraging them to discover what field of medicine drives their passion is our utmost priority.
We have 160 faculty members specializing in over 40 medical fields. The flagship of the Medical Park Hospital Group is our university hospital in Göztepe and as such our students have the opportunity to treat patients from all over Türkiye. The hospital is within two minutes’ walking distance from our faculty building, an important factor to consider in Istanbul, providing easy access to patients and professors.
We have 17 laboratories for training and clinical reserach open to our students 24/7, enabling them to work on their own projects and receive guidance from their professors. In addition, we are in the process of establishing our Simulation and Medical Education Centre on BAU’s main campus in Beşiktaş along the shores of the beautiful Bosphorus; the centre will offer international medical practitioners the opportunity to enhance and update their skills and acquire new ones.
The medium of education at our school is English and we have an international student body with 150 of our 580 students representing nearly 30 different countries. As Bahçeşehir University has the highest ratio of international students among all Turkish universities, as well as campuses abroad in Berlin, Washington DC and Cyprus, our international status is indisputable.
Our students have been accepted for summer programs in distinguished laboratories and clinics around the world such as Harvard Medical School, Yale Medical School, Georgetown University, Arkansas Heart Hospital in the USA, Oxford University in the UK, Middleheim Hospital in Belgium, Riken Labs in Tokyo, Asan Hospital in South Korea, among others. We are proud to be extending our international network with their endeavours.
