An important agreement between Bahçeşehir University and Stanford University was recently signed. Very soon, a similar laboratory to the world-renowned Stanford University’s Artificial Intelligence and Robotics laboratory will be established at BAU.
A partnership agreement was signed today between Bahçeşehir University’s Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Talat Çiftçi and Stanford University’s President of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Prof. Dr. Oussama Khatib. Prof. Khatib, providing information about the agreement, said that “the partnership between BAU and Stanford was in talks for a few years. We will start working with an Exchange program. We will take students in Turkey to Stanford and Stanford’s students to the spectacular campus in Istanbul. Our students and researchers are ready to start.”

Prof. Dr. Talat Çiftçi said, “It is a very proud moment for us. We are in a really important laboratory at this moment. Prof. Dr. Oussama Khatib is a respected authority in the world. We will try to do our best tor bringi new technologies by working with a valuable person such as Khatib. Çiftçi said the following about the agreement: “We have two purposes here. One of them is that we want to set up a laboratory like this in our university. Our colleague will help us to establish the laboratory. And second, the people working in this laboratory will try to solve new problems in new areas. Thus, we want to work in new areas, as well as train new people to Turkey.”
