FEAS Students are in Europe

Within the scope of European Union Institutions course,   European Union Relations students are participating to a trip in which they will be visiting 4 countries between 15-23 May. The aim of this “Technical Trip” is to see how EU Institutions are functioning and  to meet with academicians and parliamentary.   Besides, students will be attending to panels and seminars about how EU Institutions are functioning.

The program is as follows:

May 16, 2013 Luxembourg

• 8.30-11.00: Watching a presentation about the functioning of courts  in international court of justice.
• 14.15-16.00: Watching a presentation in court of accounts about the functioning of court of accounts and meeting with bureaucrats

May 17, 2013 Berlin

• 9.00: Meeting with MP Thomas Bareiss in German Parliament.
• 10.00: Meeting with MP Johannes Kahrs

May 18, 2013 Berlin

• 10.00-14.00: Panel with Marco Overhaus, Dr. Ognian Hishow and  Dr. Bilgütay Kural about Turkey- Germany- EU relations in BAU Berlin campus.

May 19, 2013: Tour in German Parliament

May 21, 2013 Strasbourg

• 10.00-12.00: Attending to a presentation in European Parliament and meeting with  member of the parliament, İsmail Ertuğ.
• 14.20-15.30: Attending to a presentation in  in European Court of Justice and meeting with judges

May 22, 2013 Brüksel

• 9.30-11.30: Attending to a presentation in European Commission and tour in the Commission.
• 12.00: Meeting with Bahadır Kaleağası from TUSIAD Brussels office.
• 13.00-14.00: Meeting with Mr. Andras Biro-Nagy and  Christiane Westpahl from the office of Social Politics and Employment Commisioner Mr László Andor.
