This year’s graduation ceremony will take place at the Ülker Sports Arena and Event Centre on July 23rd as we commemorate our university’s 56-year rich history, over 51 thousand graduates, and the 25th anniversary of our establishment. We are thrilled and excited to share with you this event that we celebrate every year with elation.

We are confident that our university’s multicultural environment, the beautiful friendships you have formed, and the wonderful experiences you have shared have been as much a part of your personal development and self-discovery as the excellent education you have received here. Our graduation ceremony will take place in two parts. In the chart above, faculties in the first session will start their ceremony at 12:00. Faculties in the second session will start their ceremony at 19:00
Graduation ceremony for PhD graduates will be announced later.
For the Graduation Ceremony, our graduates are limited to bring 4 guests.
Our graduates have to be in the Ülker Arena “Student Gathering Area” two hours before the ceremony.
Ülker Arena Parking lot capacity is 800 cars. In order to not have any delay in the ceremony time and parking and traffic density, our guests should use the roads and car parks in the vicinity. Alternative transportation options are as follows. Our graduation ceremony is in two stages. Because of this, after the first session is over, the parking lot must be emptied quickly by our guests in order for the second session to start properly.

How To Get To Ülker Sports Arena?

Transportation Alternatives from the Anatolian Side

You can reach Ülker Sports Arena by taking the green-capped minibuses departing from Kadıköy Rıhtım or by taking the bus number 8A and getting off at the Leylak Sokak stop.
You can reach Kadıköy by ferry departing from Beşiktaş, and get off at Yenisahra Metro stop by using the Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro. Then, you can reach Ülker Sports Arena by getting off at Leylak Sokak stop by bus number 8A from the bus stop located at the exit of the shopping center of the metro.
You can get off at Uzunçayır by using buses numbered 16A, 320A, 16F, 16U from Üsküdar, and reach Ülker Sports Arena by minibuses with green caps.
You can reach Ülker Sports Arena by using bus number 13 from Ümraniye, getting off at Ataşehir Police Station.

Transportation Alternatives from the European Side

• To come from Büyükçekmece, Beylikdüzü, Avcılar, Küçükçekmece and Bahçelievler, you can reach Ülker Sports Arena by taking the 34AS Metrobus and getting off at Uzunçayır stop with green-capped minibuses.
• To come from Esenler, Bayrampaşa, you can use Yenikapı-Airport metro, get off at Merter stop, transfer to Metrobus number 34AS, get off at Uzunçayır stop, and reach Ülker Sports Arena with green-capped minibuses.
• To come from Bağcılar, Güngören, you can use the Kabataş-Bağcılar tram line, get off at Zeytinburnu stop and transfer to the Metrobus number 34 AS, and reach Ülker Sports Arena by green-capped minibuses.
• If you want to come from Taksim, you can get off at Yenisahra stop by using the 129T or 202 buses. From here, take the stairs on the right side and walk down to the Kadıköy-Kartal Metro exit. You can reach Ülker Sports Arena by taking the 8A bus from the bus stop at the exit of Kadıköy- Kartal Metro at Leylak Sokak stop.

Alternative Parking Lot Near Ülker Sports Arena

Palladium AVM Parking Lot, Barbaros, 34746 Ataşehir/ İstanbul

We will have a photo shooting area at Ülker Arena. After our guests and students are photographed here, our students will pass to the "Student Gathering Area", and our guests will be directed to the east and west entrances.
It is mandatory to attend the graduation ceremony with a cap and gown. The gown rental/purchase office will be in class B203 between 04.07.2023 - 22.07.2023, 10:30-12:30 / 13:30-18:30, and the office will be closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Graduates who want to rent a cap and gown must deposit 600 TL, which is the rental fee, to the bank IBAN numbers listed below, by writing their student number/name and surname in the explanation section. After the payment, it will be possible to rent or purchase caps and gowns with the submission of a receipt to the personnel in the office.
Those who will attend the Graduation Ceremony, who will graduate in the spring semester, must register on the UMIS screen, and those who graduate in the fall semester must register on the ALUMNI screen. The names of our graduates who do not register to this list will not be read during the ceremony. The deadline for registration is 19 July 2023 at 15:00.
After the graduation ceremony; Students who want to return their caps and gowns, must do it, between 24.07.2023 - 19.08.2023, at 10:30-12:30/13:30-18:30; and must return them compeletely and fill in the "Return Form". The said refund fees will be returned to the IBAN number that our graduates will specify on the "Return Form". If the renter is going to return the cap and gown, he must request a refund with the information he used when renting it.. The rental fee must be paid by the person who will make the rental. Only one refund will be made if two or more fees are deposited from one IBAN. A graduate can buy a cap and gown for an another graduate, but the specified amount must be deposited by the graduate himself or herself and the receipt must be sent to the person who will take it for them. .

Note: Cap and Gown Rental and Return transactions will be made via EFT/Money Transfer to bank account numbers, and no cash delivery or refund will be made.

Before the graduation ceremony, all our students' posts, graduation feelings and thoughts, photos and videos will be shared on the https://gradmemory.bau.edu.tr/ site. As of July 10, the contents of our students will be published with the decided hashtags.
The participation criteria for the graduation ceremony are as follows. If you think you meet the graduation participation criteria and your name is not on the list, you should apply to your faculty secretariat. After the eligibility information to be sent from the faculty secretariat to the relevant unit, an addition will be made to the alumni lists and our graduates will be able to buy caps and gowns afterwards.

2022 – 2023 GRADUATION CEREMONY PARTICIPATION CRITERIA

Associate Degree;

Students who enrolled in the SHMYO in the 2020-2021 academic year and later on started their associate degree education. Have a maximum of 10 credits remaining when excluding the courses they took after the 2022 – 2023 spring semester.
Students who graduated at the end of the 2022-2023 Academic Year Fall Semester

Undergraduate Degree;

Students who enrolled in the major program in the 2018 - 2019 academic year and later on. Have a maximum of 10 credits remaining when excluding the courses they took after the 2022 – 2023 spring semester.
Students who graduated at the end of the 2022-2023Academic Year Fall Semester
Faculty of Medicine Lists will be announced later.
