Dear Students,
Even though we would like to return to the campuses full time with our all units, new mutated variants of the virus and the high number of cases as well as the high potential of transmission require all of us to comply with the precautions carefully. As Bahcesehir University, our Spring Term will start on 01 March 2021, Monday and our campuses will be open for you, our precious students. Throughout this period, we are very proud to say that as BAU Family, we have put great efforts in order to enhance the quality of education and service processes through the Hybrid University Model for which we have improved the quality standards in compliance with the international norms.
We will carry out the 2021 Spring Term as hybrid to the extent allowed by the pandemic-caused circumstances which we are closely following, in line with the decisions taken by the University Senate by prioritizing the health and safety of all BAU members.
In this regard, as the Faculty of Architecture and Design, we have completed all course plans. Unless a different direction is received from T.R Ministry of Health and the Scientific Committee and a contrary decision is given by the Council of Higher Education in the following period, it has been decided that all theoretical courses will be held online until the end of the term, and applied courses will be started online again. And it has been decided that if the concerning committees state that the risk of transmission has decreased to a level allowing to come together, the process will be gradually switched to the hybrid method. In the light of current data, it is predicted that the second half of the Spring term can be held in the Hybrid method for applied courses as well.
Dear students,
We are closely following the statements of the National and International boards and authorities about the instant assessment of the course of the pandemic, and we will continue to inform you about the reflections of changes in the predictions because of the circumstances.
Besides, all BAU campuses are open during the Term, and the application areas such as Computer Laboratories, Model Workshop, Studios, VR Lab and 3D printer facilities etc. will be able to be used by informing the concerning unit by an email (to the address of (deniz.uyaraltun@arc.bau.edu.tr) in advance that is responsible for the student affairs, in compliance with the all necessary health rules and regulations.
Through this understanding, as a BAU family, we have a strong hope that we will leave this process behind us by doing our best in this extraordinary period. We would like to express our gratitude to our precious students, especially our academicians, our families and all our administrative staff.
