Dear faculty members and students;
According to the resolutions announced by our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the "Presidential Cabinet Meeting" regarding the pandemic process that has influenced over the whole world and negatively affected the life in our country as in the whole world; it has been announced that there will be lockdown for the young people under the age of 20 out of the hours of 13:00 - 16:00, diluted and flexible working hours will be implemented in public and private sectors and lastly, education will be given online in the educational institutions until December 31st. Based on these reasons, it has been necessary for our university to take some decisions.
As Bahcesehir University, we have taken the following decisions for the period between November 18th, 2020 - December 31st, 2020 on condition that we will be open for the studies of the Scientific Board on the pandemic process and explanations and directions from the Higher Education Council (YÖK):
· Until 31 December 2020, all educational activities, student activities, student club activities, conferences, panels and meetings will be held online.
· Our academicians will have the option to use their homes or offices to conduct their classes within the scope of online education based on their requests. Our academicians will continue their activities from their homes or from our campuses if they wish.
· The applied courses, workshops, laboratory studies, all applied studies and internships that have begun as hybrid studies will continue online until December 31st.
· All our exams will be held online, as stated before.
· All our campuses will be open. Based on the Presidency's resolution; the students under the age of 20 will be able to benefit from the physical facilities of our university between 13:00 - 16:00 by declaring their HES codes. Students who are outside the age criteria will be able to use the campuses all day long.
· BAU Barbaros Library will continue to serve only to the students of Bahcesehir University.
· All cafes and restaurants in the campus will suspend their services until December 31st.
· For the period after December 31, you will be given the necessary information according to the evaluations of the Scientific Board and the Higher Education Board (YÖK).
In this process, we would like to state that our primary wish is the health and safety of all stakeholders of the BAU family. Our students, parents and academicians will be informed about courses, practices, exams and all other academic issues from our related faculties and schools during this process.
