BAU Sailing Team, consisting of the university students of Bahçeşehir University Sailing Club, has been continuing to win prizes in not only the national races but also the international races since its establishment.
Course Croisiere EDHEC Sailing Races, taking place every year in France with the attendance of the university sailing teams from different countries, celebrated its 50th birthday this year. More than 100 universities’ sailing teams from 25 countries witnessed sailing challenge for a week in Brest located in the north part of France. The best sailors coming from different countries strove vehemently for the championship in the one-week sailing challenge that occurs in a geography where there are cold wind and tidal currents.
BAU Sailing Team has been entitled to join final races in J80 class competed by delivering an outstanding success in the elimination races. Afterwards, the Team became the EDHEC’s 50th year champion with the points gained in the final challenge which was carried out with Longtze type boats.
BAU Sailing Team, having justified proud of wining championship cup with both Turkish flag and BAU flag on the platform, has been continuing its works to fly our flag and gain greater successes in the international platforms.
