Alibaba.com, the leader of e-commerce platform of the world, and Bahçeşehir University, which has become an export champion for last two years in education, will raise ‘Electronic Foreign Trade Specialists’ who the companies need with the cooperation of Electronic Foreign Trade Education Program in different cities of Turkey.
E-COMMERCE, THE FAVORITE COMMERCE METHOD OF THE NEW ERA, TAKES TRADITIONAL COMMERCE’S PLACE
The participants will take ’Electronic Foreign Trade Speciality’ certificate in the trainings which will start within the Bahçeşehir University Continuing Education Center (BAUCEC) in February in 2018 and will take three weekends. The trainings, which will be organized in the leading cities especially in industry in Turkey, particularly in Istanbul, will be for both experts working in the export departments of the companies and the young people who want to mentor the companies by specializing in electronic foreign trade. The participants will deserve to take certificate by completing practice trainings on the accounts available in Alibaba.com after 42-hours program.
Dr. Selçuk Tuzcuoğlu, the academic coordinator of the education program, said “E-foreign commerce has become one of the most popular commerce methods of the new era. From now on, it is possible to make sales without catalog printing, opening a stand. The mutual education program of Bahçeşehir University and Alibaba.com will teach Turkish entrepreneurs both how to manage correct marketing communications and the details of getting into new international markets owing to electronic foreign commerce.”
Cüneyt Erpolat, the country manager of Alibaba.com, said that they have raised their targets of building an e-commerce ecosystem by supporting both the education of SMEs’, which incline to e-commerce, and students in cooperation with Bahcesehit University. He continued his words: “The aim of establishing Alibaba.com is to improve and make it easy for SMEs to work internationally. We will be supporting both SMEs and students in this subject with e-commerce trainings within the collaboration made with Bahçeşehir University. The trainers from our central office located in China and dear lecturers of Bahçeşehir University organized an extensive education program. In this sense, we believe that our education program will be a first and helpful so much, as well.’
Cüneyt Erpolat, stating that the volume of international e-commerce will reach 10 trillion dollars in 2020 according to the report published by Frost& Sullivan, said: “It is predicted that 6.7 trillion dollars of this number will be taken place in B2B. Therefore, in two years, we assume that there will be major changes in the ecosystem growing with the volume of e-commerce in the world. I believe that we will witness that commerce will turn into itself rather than e-commerce in the meantime. Within this scope, the big opportunities will arise in Turkey, as well. We suggest that Turkish SMEs follow the developments closely, apply the innovations both in commerce and e-commerce, and benefit from the opportunities ideally. While the importance of digitalization increases, the improvements in digital scope should certainly be followed and the changes should be adapted by being updated every day. We, as Alibaba.com, will continue to express the future of e-commerce and the advantages that SMEs can gain by spreading to international trade by continuing to visit the cities in Turkey with E-Glober, our business partner in Turkey. The most important one is that we will continue to integrate SMEs’ number and labor force into the digital world and we will continue our new attempts to make SMEs take place in e-commerce actively.’
