Playscape

Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design first year students have designed PLAYSCAPES at Yel değirmeni that will be occupied by “Infantes Ludens” (children at play) within the scope of INT 1002- Design Studies Studio in collaboration with Tasarım Atölyesi Kadıköy (TAK).

Playscapes have intended to act as social structures and urban interiors. Students first followed a walking protocol and conducted sensuous mapping studies. After developing sound and emphatic relationships with the context, they focused on formation  of the playscape according to physical, social and mental needs of selected age groups (2-6 I 6-10 I10-14) and their activities  that will be performed within that structure and should provide sensuous experiments/experiences for children

Selected projects have been presented by students at Tasarım Atölyesi Kadıköy on March 23nd 2016. Those projects will be exhibited at Tasarım Atölyesi Kadıköy until April 7th 2016.
